BATTLE of CREAMS BB vs. CC

Hi friends! How’s your weekend going? I hope all is doing well according to your plans. It’s been a while and I wanna share with you my new discoveries.

First, I want to say that I am not a make up expert and to be honest I am just discovering it lately. Second, I am not paid or sponsored by these products. This is my personal take.

I am inspired by most youtubers and bloggers about make ups and I was like oh! I wanna try it too. I found myself trying these BB cream and CC cream. In Asia, these things are very popular. I particularly love the Korean make up products like the face shop, skin food, tony molly, etude house, etc…but since I am in Europe and these Korean make ups doesn’t exist in the corners of Europe, I have to look for somewhat similar that can enhance my Asian skin. I’ve read before that Asian women have to look particular products for Asian skin. Before Korean make ups invade the market, in the Philippines, we are used to  American and European products. As Korean products is made particularly for Asian women, my skin like it more. Now, I am trying these products on me.

I bought Rimmel BB cream because while researching I found it very practical. It has 9-in-1 skin perfecting super make up and SPF 25 which is important because the sun makes us old and ugly. I feel like it’s a complete package. As I was so excited, I think I bought the one that is lighter from my skin tone, I should have chosen a little darker.

CC cream from Maxfactor. I’ve researched what’s the difference between CC cream and bb cream, a lot has been said so I decided I have to try both to understand well. This CC cream from maxfactor has instant complexion enhancer, 85% bronze and spf10. I think it’s a good buy too.

Maxfactor CC cream vs. Rimmel BB cream

you can see the difference. The lighter one is the Rimmel bb cream. I made a mistake with the color, it's too light for my skin tone.

I used Rimmel BB cream here.

I used Maxfactor CC cream here.

The combination of both. BB cream and CC cream.

Since I made a mistake in chosing the proper color for BB cream. I think it was too light for my skin tone. I tried to combine both BB cream and CC cream and viola! I think the result is ok. The only problem with the Rimmel BB cream is when it stayed long it becomes too dry while maxfactor stays long without getting dry. Oh well BB cream stands for Beauty Balm while CC cream stands for colour correcting cream. They have separate function.

What’s your pick? I hope you can find the right one for you.

Stay fabulous and beautiful. Enjoy the rest of the weekend. Monday is holiday here in France, so it’s a long weekend for me.

Keep safe.

Love,

anne

Hello Analyn! You have no idea how happy I am for you!!! Yes, I truly am! Loved your review! Like you, I am not a beauty expert and I rely a lot on tutorials and youtubers reviews. I have never tried BB or CC creams but I have been wanting to try for a very long time. I just haven’t gotten to it. I liked the idea of mixing the BB and CC creams. That I can get the best of both worlds:-) Sending you lots of blessings! Take care! XOXO, Jeannette
