TRAPPED

Happy Sunday beautiful friends! Ok, I don’t wanna spoil a beautiful Sunday by sounding like negative. These are just my random thoughts for today.

Have you ever felt trapped once in your life? I guess everyone did. I did. I felt trapped by some life complications. If we thought about it life is simple but as human as we are, we try to complicate things.

When I was a kid, I felt trapped by my parents rules, all I can do is to obey because they are my parents and I know it’s for my own good. When I was in law school, I felt trapped by my books. I am not a very studious person but I have to read those books to earn my degree.

They say you have to love what you do and you will feel like doing nothing. Yes, that is true. Feeling trapped begets from forcing yourself doing what you do not love. That sucks, right? Moving on, I thought about teaching myself to love the things that I don’t feel like doing just because I have to do it. I felt like it was a big burden, an obligation. It is heavy on my shoulders but I have to. Lately, I found myself forcing watching French news. I can understand French but the fact that I’m not interested the result is pretty obvious, my right ear got it and for a few seconds it goes out on my left ear. If you’ll ask me what I’ve watched, I can’t give an answer. I learnt that we need to brave ourselves in everything we do. Forcing ourselves will result to nothing. It will never improve us and worst it will make us unhappy.  We should teach ouselves to love and experience the things that we ought to learn, we ought to love and live. All good things start from small things so we should learn the stages of loving the things that we don’t like. As they say in Italian “piano, piano” which means slowly. Give it sometime. One day, a spring will rise. A new beginning of loving the things that surrounds you will have its fruit. Plant and practice more humility and everything will be fine. Never stop learning. Never let others put you down. Have your own goal and achieve it. Remain with positive people that supports you. Critics will come and go but always remember that even the most beautiful rose has its thorns.

I am sharing with you a beautiful quote from Steve Jobs which I really love.

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma-which is living with the results of the other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.

I hope I make sense on this one. I’m wishing everyone a happy Sunday evening. Tomorrow is holiday here in France so I’ll be updating you about my activities.

My Kisses to all of you. Thank you for always inspiring me. 🙂

Love,

anne

Hello Analyn! Hope your weekend is going great and you and pregnancy are going great. I always think about you. And, what a wonderful post you wrote. Every single word you said is true and makes lots of sense. Feeling trapped is an experience we all go through at one or different points in our life. I have honestly felt that way many times and still do at times. I know what I want and where I want my life to go but I am not there yet and sometimes it causes me a lot of frustrations and anxieties but I have learned that everything in our life has a purpose and in order for me to live my purpose and head in the direction my heart wants I must stay present and live the moment. So instead of getting lost in my thoughts of “what if” and “poor me”, I try to stay focused and aware so I can see the signs and opportunities life brings to me to help me get where I dream to be. Not being afraid to make changes and follow what our hearts tell us to follow is very important but very challenging to practice but just like Steve Jobs said we must do it. LOVED this post very much Analyn. Thanks for sharing! XOXO, Jeannette
